End of the road.
A hilarious end to a mostly hilarious shoot. Vegas Vinnie and triads,
one of them half Chinese, half Scottish!. The Kwok and Hong double
act going from strength to strength. Fits of the giggles throughout
tonight's shoot. Time to put the wigs, guns and shirts away and
enjoy the show now. It's been a real pleasure working with everyone,
massive thanks to all involved. The End...
December 6th 2005
Going out with
a bang. Almost done now, a justified reshoot of end scene, proving
much funnier on screen and offscreen second time around, some quick
Henderson shots and it's pretty much a wrap with only a few minor
shots left to do. Loads of uncontrollable laughter from all, especially
director Ian Burnett 'The Amazing Bluesmoke' is on its way!.

'And now
the end is near...' What was meant to be the last day of shooting
turned out not to be, due to yet more events that are currently
jinxing the last leg of the shoot. Bluesmoke turn's snuff movie!.
Buzz Austin and Jake Hart do battle with guns and chainsaw!. A plotless
plot that continues to have plotholes and continuity that doesn't
continue. Just keep telling yourself - "It's only a movie",
and a pretty stupid one !

The tide is
high!. Location filming on the Yorkshire coast - Flamborough, means
freezing conditions and lack of mobile phone signals meaning Chris
Taylor and Mike are missing in action somewhere close by. Filming
goes ahead without them. Henderson, Snake & sidekick, Magnum
Colby and Jake Hart shooting in a cave on the coast with an incoming
high tide and fading daylight, chinese tourists as an audience as
well as sound problems meaning endless re-takes by which time all
cast were trapped in cave by the tide!. You couldn't make this stuff
up, only on a Bluesmoke shoot!.
October 18th 2005
Smythe's showdown with the Mayor and The PM. Yet
another stellar turn from Adrian Parker with some pant wettingly
improvised moments. Craig Briggs who is now holding the record for
most roles in the current Bluesmoke film once again stepping into
an uncast role in heavy disguise. Our first offcially made prop
- Smythe's desk name plate making it's first appearance, funds for
the next 15 Bluesmoke films will come from it's future sale on Ebay.

Meanwhile, back
at Bluesmoke HQ once again... Several interior scenes shot. An exterior
scene featuring Smythe and Henderson, handcuffed together, in a
scuffle, in a car!! was shot. Another Bluesmoke first tonight, Bluesmoke's
first ever major camera tracking shot was also shot thanks to low
tech equipment available eg: Adrian Parker pulling Director Ian
Burnett on a delivery trolley backwards !.
September 14th

"Let's
Get Minging...". Indoor and out door action, despite the rain,
despite Chris Taylor's broken foot, despite the now dark nights
this turned out another great shoot and record laughs per second.
A number of first's tonight - Smythe holding a gun!, Minging in
a fight scene, Marcos doubling as bad guy. Tonights scene involved
Henderson and Smythe as well as firmly established new guys Col
and Andy helping raise the levels of stupidity to all time high's
along with Pik's stellar turn as Minging "Kicking Ass"
!

New
variation of the Bluesmoke 5 Teaser Trailer (version 2)
, featuring New footage which reveals more new characters
and a glimpse of Master Minging!..
August 28th
2005
The gang's all
here!. Return of the originals - Colt Speed, Buzz Austin, Henderson,
Master Minging, Smythe were all involved in todays shoot. 3 more
scenes shot, including Colt Speed and blind ninja Master Minging's
now compulsary scene setting a new levels of stupidity per second,
damn filfthy Pigeons. Budding martial arts stars Kwok and Hong easily
got into the spirit of Bluesmoke, making a racket that can be heard
streets away and gettig quite a lot of attention in Hull town centre
on what was a quiet Sunday morning, debuting like their lives
depend on it!.

Dockside. Security
guard - "You can't film here" means a quick relocate to
nearby wasteground. Tonight's scene gives us our first white Rastafarian
in a Bluesmoke film!, thank's to man of many wigs - Mike. Ade as
Sir Singen Smythe is a towering presence as always. A short scene,
but another winner. Exactly halfway through the shoot now. BS5
teaser trailer has just arrived and is awesome!.
August 7th 2005
'In the avenues
and alleyways'. Yet more awesome locations. 2 more scenes shot.
The return of Vegas Vinnie. Torture and yet more violence. Whenever
you need a punchbag - 'Get Brett Weir' - Ian Burnett got punched
in the face for real by Phil Rogers!! and kicked in the ribs for
real by newcomer Mike. Director Ian also got his much longed for
'Pigeon Shot' !. A great shoot, OTT performances. Fantastic footage,
a real buzz now, and sense of another great Bluesmoke in the making!.
July 14th 2005
The return of
Henderson !. Great to see Rob Stott back as arch villain Henderson,
picking it up right were he left off. Col and brother Andy finally
given chance to shine in what was a dialogue heavy interior scene
in cramped office conditions. Another Summer heatwave outside and
in. Col's preparation of bouncing off walls for his dialogue was
'method' to say the least. All 3 participants nailing their lines
effortlessly. A fast shoot.
July 7th 2005
Continuation
of last weeks fight. Again, great vibes from all involved. 'We're
going to need guns, lots of guns'. Bluesmoke bad guy Cain Foot brought
enough replica fire arms equip a small army. Chris Taylor ate the
props, and nearly lost a kneecap!. Some seriously funny stuff captured
tonight. This is going well.
June
30th 2005
Interior scene
with Jake Hart and the 'New Recruits'. Outside for a good punch
up. Everyone in high spirits in the glorius summer sunshine. Lots
improvising and ideas coming from all. Craig Briggs is turning into
the king of improvisation and turning out to be a potential scene
stealer. This new guy Col is out of control!. Watch out Singen Smythe.
Some seriously crazy people are in this film.
June 23rd 2005
Here we go again.
Was it really 3 years since we last did this?. Old faces and new.
Singen Smythe - Adrian Parker on top form as always. Cast members
melting under wigs and leather jackets in boiling summer weather
indoors. Some first night nerves all round, two scenes in the can.
A good start.

After 6 years of
talking about a snow scene, our chance is finally here. Snow starts
falling 9pm. Out there 9am next morning. Some quickly written dialogue
involving Brett Weir and Jake Hart, not sure how/where this fits into
a/the next Bluesmoke film, but can't worry about that now. 4 hrs of
running, falling down, more running and falling down has left us numb
and half crippled. Great fun, great footage, could be a while before
we get back to it though. |
